The term pulse is a Latin terminology that means ‘dried seeds’.  Pulses are the main source of protein, which are building blocks of the human body, it is a cheap source of acquiring proteins as compared to meat. Pulses are also called grains. Pulses are rich in vitamins and minerals, such as iron, zinc, folate, and magnesium.
