Sugar cane molasses is brown to black, thick substance and is a by-product when beet and sugarcane are processed. Cane molasses has more nutritional value than the white and brown sugar itself.

As far as the quality is concerned, non-standardized molasses can vary within following levels:

 

  • Saccharose    25%-39%
  • Brix    77%- 86%
  • Raw protein    4%- 6%
  • Invert    12%- 19%
  • Ash    8%- 14%

Cane molasses is traded in different parts of the world as per usage.  For the compound feed sector and customer requirement, there are different standards of trading.
