Apple is an important temperate fruit. Most of the Apples are consumed fresh but some of them are used in the production of vinegar, juices, jellies, and candies. In Pakistan, Apple is primarily cultivated in Jammu & Kashmir. Apples are grown at higher elevations and/or northern latitudes in several provinces and areas of Pakistan. Per capita, the production of apples is about 3 kg.
